A glimpse into May // Another possibility pile and less goals

Hello, sweet peas!

It’s my birthday month! But even without it, I think May is my favourite month of the year. (Followed by October.) In May a lot of MG books get released and while it’s definitely bad for my wallet, I’m so excited. (Also the reason, why I won’t make a goal that says I won’t buy any books. That would just be ridiculous.)

πŸ“š Goal 1 – Read and review eArcs

I still have two or three that need to be reviewed. I hope that I get at least one done. I really have to tone down with the requesting.

πŸ“š Goal 2 – Write at least 4 reviews

My forever goal. I really wanna make it this month. Last month I was not really up to speed but I hope that this month will be better.

πŸ“š Goal 3 – Update the tbr page of my blog

I will probably put that on here until I actually do it. Since I keep piling books on that stack I’m afraid that will still take a while. On that note, does anybody actually look at that list?

πŸ“š Goal 4 – Continue reading IT

This will probably also be a goal that will continue throughout the year. I’m not in a hurry. I just wanna say that I have read it.

πŸ“š Goal 5 – Read at least 3 books from the tbr

It worked last month, so why shouldn’t it work this month! I really hope that I can work on my tbr and read some books off it. My dream is to get it down under a hundred this year. Under 150?

The Possibility Pile

Since I managed to read two (2!) books from the Possibility Pile last month, it obviously works. I am a genius. Several of these are from last year, so I really hope that will work. And by the way, it’s absolutely coincidental that these books are all purple.

πŸ“š The Train to Impossible Places by P.G. Bell. I have actually already started that book. It was not bad, as far as i remember but I can also not really recall why I put it away. Maybe it just didn’t keep my attention? Anyway, I guess I’ll give it another try.

πŸ“š Cleo Porter and the Body Electric by Jake Burt. I love Jake Burt’s writing. I feel like I had to save this book and read it some time before the next one comes out in autumn. I think it’s a good time now.

πŸ“š The Storm Runner by J.C. Cervantes. I managed to convert the ebook I had so it’s readable on my Kindle. Well, I say readable. Unfortunately all the apostrophes have been replaced by €-signes and other letters but I think I can still read it.

πŸ“š The Dream Snatcher by Abi Elphinstone. One of my favourite authors. I’m so thrilled about “The Crackledawn Dragon” coming out this month that I have to calm my excitement with another one of her books.

πŸ“š The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Let’s try this again. I already put this on the pile two months ago but maybe it works better this time around.

πŸ“š Owl and the Lost Boy by Amy Wilson. Another one of my favourite authors. In my birthday month I am allowed to treat myself, right? All the books by my favourite authors, that I have somehow abandoned on my tbr….oops.

What are your plans for May? Do you know any books on my list? Do you have any recommendations?

  1. I wish you the best with your goals for this month, I know you can do it! πŸ‘πŸ» & OMG, the cover of Owl and the Lost Boy is SO beautiful. 😍
PS: I hope you have an AMAZING birthday! ❀️

  2. Birthday months are always special, hope you have a lovely day✨ (and don’t feel bad about yourself some books!) And I’m also really interested in reading The Storm Runner and The House in the Cerulean Sea sometime soonπŸ‘€

  3. Writing reviews seems to be getting harder. I don’t think it’s just you. Or maybe it’s just us, and we should go form our own little club. With pins. And cake. Just because if we can’t write reviews, we might as well eat cake. xD

Your possibility pile looks fantastic. Hard to go wrong with all these wonderful books, but you have to know I’m voting for The House in the Cerulean Sea. πŸ˜›

    • You are always voting for the House in the Cerulean Sea, Sammie. πŸ˜›
I don’t think I have managed to read any of them though. I will have to look. I might have gone overboard with the blogtour books that are somehow all due next month? Two of them I completely forgot about…

      • At least I’m consistent? xD Yeeeah, you know, I thought I was doing really good with not over-requesting for June … until I started getting confirmation emails and realized how many blog tours I have in June. xD Oops.
