Books I didn’t read in 2021 // Will I read them in 2022?

Hey, guys!

Today I want to take a look at the books that I DIDN’T read in 2021. Because psh, everybody can take a look at the books that they did read, right? It’s books I was actually really excited for and was waiting hard for and maybe even preordered and still didn’t read when I finally got them.

I would love to take credit for this idea but the truth is that I found this at Donna’s MomsBookCollection and was just dying to try it too. Go take a look at her post, her blog is so nice.

The Castle of Tangled Magic
Six Crimson Cranes (Six Crimson Cranes, #1)
Daughter of the Deep
The Sun Is Also a Star
Dark Waters (Small Spaces, #3)

The Castle of Tangled Magic by Sophie Anderson

Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim

Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan

The Sun is also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Dark Waters by Katherine Arden

Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor, #3)
Legendborn (The Legendborn Cycle #1)
Aurora Burning (The Aurora Cycle, #2)
25786523
Wonderscape (Wonderscape, #1)

Hollowpox by Jessica Townsend

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

The long way to a small angry planet by Becky Chambers

Wonderscape by Jennifer Bell

These are books I really wanted to read last year and still didn’t. I really hope that I will get to them as well as to the books that are coming out this year that I really want to read.

Have you read any of the books on my list? Which ones should I start with?

    • I knooooooow. I loved the first two. I just cannot decide if I should do a reread before I start Hollowpox or if I should just dive in. That decision is kinda paralyzing.

  1. Thank you for the kind shoutout! so happy you did this, love seeing what other people did not get to. Makes me feel like i am not the only one not reading the books they are excited for. I still need to read Legendborn by Tracy Deonn.

    • Well, of course! I got the idea from you! ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m also glad I’m not the only one. First you are super excited and then you don’t feel like it and that feels somehow wrong? It’s really strange and somehow funny. I hope we’ll both get to the books we didn’t get to last year. Next year we can compare. XD

  2. I’ve read a couple of these, though several others are still waiting on my TBR, too. While I loved Legendborn, I’d suggest starting with the thinner books because it feels good to check them off the list. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Definitely read Dark Waters so that you can finish the series when the last one comes out this year!

    • You are absolutely right. I think I’m a bit wary of thicker books in general. And with that I mean everything over 300 pages. Dark Waters I’m really looking forward to but in the end I always just put it aside when I’m looking for a new book to read.

      • Most of the books I read are in the under 300 pages group as well. Thicker books seem to be more likely to have filler in them, at least from the books I’ve read recently. Maybe I’ve just been picking the wrong books.

I hope you enjoy Dark Waters when you get to it!

    • I wanted to do a buddy read with this one but when the time came I was just not in the mood for it. I was thinking about listening to the audiobook instead, the first one was really good. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Great list! I also hope to read Daughter of the Deep, Legendborn and Hollowpox this year! Aurora Burning is amazing btw and I can’t wait to see what happens in the finale. I hope you enjoy all of these books ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I didn’t read Daughter of the Deep and Legenborn either last year. hopefully this year.
Hollowpox and The Long Way are awesome!
