Hello, sweet peas!
It’s time to take a long and hard look at my shelf again. In this post I will show you another pick from my tbr and tell you a little bit about it. Maybe you have even read the book and can encourage me?

Scythe by Neal Shusterman

SINCE WHEN IS IT ON THE TBR?
I have to admit, I don’t even know. I bought it a while ago, after the reviews really blew up the bloggersphere and Instagram. I was intrigued by the overall story and even before I actually bought it it made me think about a lot of things.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery. Humanity has conquered all those things, and has even conquered death. Now scythes are the only ones who can end life—and they are commanded to do so, in order to keep the size of the population under control.
Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe—a role that neither wants. These teens must master the “art” of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.
It sounds great, doesn’t it? Thought provoking, interesting, thrilling. It makes you curious. So…
WHY HAVEN’T I READ IT YET?
Good question, excellent question. I have no idea. I could, probably. But I also know that every time I pick it up, I put it down again. I have read books by Neal Shusterman before. I know what to expect with his writing style and know that they are interesting pieces of literature.
I still can’t bring myself to read it. But on the other hand i want to read it. I wanna know what this is all about. If the hype it created is doing the book justice.
Have you read the book? Did you like it? Give me your opinion.
