One, two, buckle my shoe or: the TTT asks for booktitles with numbers this week

Hello, sweet peas!

Sometimes it’s nice to have all your ducks in a row and to know that everything has it’s order, don’t you think? Numbers are nice. I mean, sure, I always hated Maths in school but overall I like the idea of it.

Right from the top of my head I can’t really think of too many books with numbers in the title. Well, of course Six of Crows or Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum novels in consecutive order. But let’s see what I can come up with

The Ten Thousand Doors of January

I didn’t know about this book until the last TTT where I saw it on several blogs. It sounds very intriguing and I will definitely read it at some point.

Just one damned thing after another

I owned this book until recently when I donated it. It sounded so promising and fun but I didn’t really like it.

Fünf

Oh my, I almost forgot one of my very favourite books in the world. Fünf. It’s since 2012 the best crime story I’ve read. “Fünf” means five in German btw.

Ready Player One

Another one of those books you should read before you die. I’m actually really curious about all the references that are supposed to be in this book and if I would understand them.

The Seven Sisters

Is there a pattern? Because I feel like there is a pattern. The Severn sisters is another book I didn’t particular like. I started it but I couldn’t quite convince myself to like it.

84, charing cross road

I loved this book so much. I cried so much when it was over and not for the ending, although maybe for that too, but because I had just felt like I had lost some dear friends. Because all this was over before I was even born. It was amazing and highly recommend this book to everybody.

A million suns

I read the first book of this trilogy, “Across the universe” and don’t quite know why I never came around to read the second book. I guess I will at some point. I’m wondering if they ever arrive.

Six of Crows

Obligatory mention of Six of Crows. I’m really wondering how often this book will be on today’s list. I don’t really know how to feel about this book and I still haven’t finished it.

Five little pigs

Probably my favourite Hercule Poirot novel. I highly recommend it. I also recommend to watch the BBC movie with David Suchet. I listened to the soundtrack while reading this and it was magical.

The 13 1/2 lives fo Captain Bluebear

That one is still on my TBR pile waiting to be read. You either love Walter Moers’ books or you don’t know what to do with them and I’m curious which one is with this one for me.

Okay, that was it for today. My list of books with numbers in the title, meticulously ordered by want-to-read, didn’t like and loved-it! 😀

Do you know any of those books? What’s on your list this week?

    • It does sound very much like a child’s book but I can assure you, you actually need quite some brainpower to read it. I had to take a break after maybe his fifth life and haven’t picked it up again yet. 😅

I have 84, Charing Cross Road on my bookshelf, and you just helped it move up the tbr list! Six of Crows was on my list, but I haven’t read it yet. I thought I was the only one who hadn’t finished it. 🙂

    Here’s my TTT

    • It’s a really amazing book and I highly recommend it. It leaves you wanting more and more letters and craving a penpal across the seven seas of your own. And don’t forget the tissues when reading!
