Six for Sunday // First comes first

Hey, guys and happy Sunday!

I’m taking part in Steph’s @ A little but a lot #sixforsunday again and it’s all about favorite first books in a series. Which, I have to admit, is super difficult because I mostly love the first book in a series the most. There is just something so great about starting a whole new series and learning all about the new protagonists and new worlds and new foes and new everything. There is just so much to explore and discover and it’s just so great.

Is anybody surprised that I’m picking Percy as my first book today? Yes? Then where have you been all this time while I’ve been fangirling? And while I adore the whole series beyond anything else, it’s the first book I have reread the most since it came out in 2005.

I’m still kinda reading Obsidio and the further I get the more I’m sure – Illuminae is the best in the series. Not that I don’t like the Gemina or even Obsidio but Illuminae was still able to shock and fascinate and entertain me.

Good Good, I love this book. Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel is something totally different but it has always been one of my very dear favourites.

While I never quite liked the Artemis Fowl books, I really loved the WARP books. Especially the first one, even though it was obscure and it would only get more confusing from there.

This reminds me that I haven’t finished the last book yet. But Tesla’s Attic was definitely better than Edison’s Alley and is probably also better than Hawkin’s Hallway.

Now that I have it in front of me I feel like I should reread the whole series. I remember really liking Thieves like us best.

Do you know any of the books on my list? And, more importantly, do you agree with my assessment?
