The Mid-Year “I’m still alive and kicking” Post

Hello, friends!

I bet you didn’t think you would hear from me ever again, right? I don’t blame you. I haven’t really done much with the blog lately. And with lately I mean since…Mid February? Wow.

I have to admit, there is a reason for that. I will tell you all about it, but first, how are you? Any major life updates? Anything you’re super proud of and want to tell me about it? (Or anything really stupid that you want to vent about?)

Where I’ve been…

Well, I promised you reasons. Here there are:

1. First of all, I have finally started a new line of education! Yay! I’m training to become a graphic designer which is something I really enjoy. The course I’m taking takes one full year and I’m now three months in. I have to say, at some points I’m really asking myself what I have been thinking. Doing it while working a full-time job is exhausting and I’m a bit ashamed to admit that the last module I sent the assignment off with 15 minutes to spare because I slacked off and underestimated the work that really went into that assignment. NOT something I will likely do again.
   Yeah, anyway. It’s hard work and it takes up a lot of my time but I really enjoy it.
2. I have been playing a lot of Zelda – Tears of the Kingdom lately. Sorry, not sorry.
3. I haven’t really read much. While I still enjoy the odd book or other I’m just…so tired all the time. I highly doubt that I will make my reading goal this year and I can’t really feel too bad about it. But it also doesn’t help me with coming up with content. Even though I do try and have some on the backburner.
4. My blog got hacked. Yeah, that was not fun. I didn’t have any access to my dashboard, couldn’t log in and for a time – I don’t know if you have seen it – my blog was in Russian. It was very stressful and I was scared that they had somehow gotten into my personal data which hasn’t happened. Thankfully, my hosting platform was very helpful. Still, it made me feel worried everytime I logged into my blog and tarnished it a bit for me. I’m still working on putting all the pictures back that somehow were all deleted which annoys me because it’s a lot of work. I also know that some links might not work, so if you find any review links or something in the menu that doesn’t work, I would be happy if you could tell me. I’m very sorry that everything is such a mess around here at the moment. But I don’t want to be scared anymore and so I will try my best to make more posts.
