Hey, sweet peas!
How is it already Wednesday again? Did I fall into a time hole? Did somebody steal my time? Did my sense of time get stuck somewhere or has been lost? Who knows, certainly not me.
(I have been told that I use that phrase a lot lately. Is that true?)
Anyway, it’s definitely time to make our way over to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words again and answer the age old questions starting with a W.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m currently reading Cogheart by Peter Bunzl which has been much too long on my tbr. I quite like it so far.
I’m also still reading The Witches of Willow Cove by Josh Roberts and The simple art of not giving a f*ck by Mark Manson. But hey, I’m making progress.
Nope. I’m afraid I didn’t manage to finish anything since last week. My attention span is rather short again and I don’t really stick to anything. I really hope I can finish my current read, though.
Well, you know how hard it is for me to actually stick to a prediction like that but my next read might be Song for a Whale by Lynne Kelly. At least that’s what I’ve said in my last post for the Believathon.
I found this book when I walked into a bookshop where I usually never find anything and this book just had to go with me. I’m pretty sure it would have stayed on the shelf forever if I hadn’t taken it – or at least until it would have been sent back.
Lately all my posts seem to have very little writing in them which is weird. But I just can’t think of anything to say. Maybe somebody could just ask me some questions?
This is a funny time for concentrating on anything, isn’t it? Unless you’re one of those people who have turned to baking. I haven’t 😁. I’m trying to give myself a bit of structure by getting ahead with books I need to read for upcoming blog tours or that are publishing soon. I’m also trying to find time to read books that have been in my TBR pile for way too long. Hope your next choice, whatever it is, turns out to be great.

Since I’m in a crucial sector I’ve been going to work every day, so I have not taken up baking. Then again, if you ever see me turn to baking, everybody better run for the hills. 😂
I have never been part of a blog tour, is there a way to sign up somewhere? 🤔
I’m getting ahead nicely with my current read and I hope that streak will continue. Happy reading! <3
There are a couple of blog tour organisers I work with – Anne Cater at Random Things Tours and Rachel Gilbey at Rachel’s Random Resources. Both lovely ladies who organise tours in lots of genres for both authors and publishers. There will be sign-up forms on their websites.
I think everyone’s struggling with concentration a little bit right now, I hope it gets easier for you! I hope your readathon goes well though and the books you’re reading at the moment look great!

Thank you so much! I am already done with Cogheart and more or less enjoyed it. I hope I will have enough motivation to get through all the books for the readathon. 🙂
Cogheart sounds very interesting. I can’t wait to see more. Happy reading!📚
I’m already through with it and hope I will have the review up soon. 🙂
I don’t know these books but Song for a Whale has such a cute cover. I spent about three months not reading earlier this year so I understand needing a break or slower reading pace. Just do what feels comfortable and right 🙂
I think that’s why I decided to read mainly middlegrade this month. It’s the genre I’m most comfortable with and which gives me peace while reading. Still, Song for a whale deals is more like a contemporary MG books so I have some different topics in that genre too. 🙂
It’s hard to read right now. I go through big ups and downs with reading. I had a big reading week, but some have not been as good. I hope things pick up for you reading wise soon because it looks like you have some great books to read.
My WWW Wednesday.
I’m so looking forward to reading all my books. It’s also my birthday soon, so who knows what books might be added to my tbr. 😀
I love the cover of Song for a Whale! I hope you are feeling more settled this week ❤️ Any time I set up a solid TBR I usually end up avoiding those books 😂 I hope the structured TBR works for you though!
I know exactly what you mean! I usually have such troubles sticking to a tbr but I wanna try and at least read a little bit of the books? Like maybe one? 😂
I do believe we’ve fallen into some sort of time hole. We should probably … like … do something about it? Think the Earth can stumble its way out? OMG! Cogheart! I keep forgetting that’s on my TBR until someone mentions it. xD I’ll be interested to see what you think of it! Song for a Whale is supposed to be really good! That’s another one I want to read … umm … eventually.
I finished Cogheart yesterday but I think I have to do some soulsearching before I write the review! It has been on my tbr since the book came out and now the author has already finished the series. A time hole again, I presume. 😂
Soulsearching in a good way, I hope?!
I‘m…not sure? 🤔
I know what you mean! My focus has definitely been wavering these past few weeks as well. Your current reads look interesting though – I hope they turn out to be good ones! <3
Yeah, I don’t know if it’s the corona thing or if it’s just me being all wonky. Maybe a little bit of both. 😂 Thank you for your kind words, I hope so too! <3
I like the sound of Cogheart! I hope you will keep enjoying it. Happy reading! xx
I finished it! I don’t quite know what to write in the review but it was not too bad. 😀
