WWW Wednesday

Hey, sweet peas!

How is everybody? I haven’t really read many books lately, I’ve read more graphic novels. I don’t even know if I should put them in there. I’ve alsao noticed that I have missed at least two weeks of WWW Wednesday again. Darnits.

The three WWWs are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Ace takes flight by Cory McCarthy

I guess that’s the last bookbook that I read. I requested it once via Netgalley and didn’t get approved and so I bought it when it came out. The idea was not bad but unfortunately I didn’t quite like the book. I will still think about writing a review for this one.

The Double Helix (Explorer Academy #3) by Trudi Trueit

I’m giving the Double Helix another try! I usually read a bit in it before bedtime now, so I hope I will finish the book this time. I don’t know why I’m having trouble at the moment, it’s actually really nice.

One plus one equals blue by Mary Jane Auch

Book Cover

It’s a very interesting book about two kids with synesthesia, a condition where one sensation might trigger another sense, like smelling sounds or smelling textures. It’s really interesting so far, even though the mc is a bit sulky. I hope that gets better. 🙂

Actually I went way overboard in October with buying books and I really have to up my game. I have not decided what to read next but there is an abundance of choice and I’m sure I’m gonna find something.

Do you know any of my books? What are you reading at the moment?

  1. Synesthesia is a condition I want to learn more about. I’m not sure if One + One = Blue would be a good place for that, but I’m glad there’s at least more books about it!

Graphic novels definitely count! You shouldn’t feel bad about including them.

    • Yeah, it always feels a bit like cheating to me. 😅

I guess it’s not really that much in 1+1=blue but I think it’s interesting to put it in this setting anyway. The book has a bit of a Tune Out feeling to me tbh. I think Basil is really sulky all the time but maybe that’ll get better. Did you like the book?

  2. I always count anything that I’m reading whether they’re graphic novels, webcomics, or audiobooks! It’s still reading either way 🙂 Happy reading!
