Hello, sweet peas!
At this point, I’m really wondering if the WWW Wednesday is the only post I still do. I mean, I have a boatload of posts in my draft folder but those mainly consist of titles of posts and not much more these days. Which basically means that I have a lot of quasi-ideas for posts but no idea about the actual post content. Which is kinda sad. And horrifying. Where is all my inspiration? Where are my WORDS? Damn!
Reading is not really going anywhere either but at least I think I might have one new book to show you. I think. But also repetition because I just cannot read physical books at the moment. Or ebooks. That also goes very slow. I just wanna finish one good book, you know? It’s not that my current reads are bad. I just don’t really have time to sit on the couch in the evening at the moment. I’m too tired to read. I rather do something mind-numbing after work and cooking and stuff. I don’t wanna feel bad about not reading but I also feel bad about not reading because I would very much want to read. I just don’t have any energy or focus left. It’s infuriating.
But anyway. I’m pretty sure that most people don’t read those words at the beginning of the WWW Wednesday post anyway. I love and forgive you guys though. Rant over. Or something.
The three WWWs are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Explorer Academy #2 The Falcon’s Feather by Trudi Trueit

I’m still reading The Falcon’s Feather because it’s a good book and I enjoy it. It’s just that it’s a physical book and somehow it’s hard to fit those into my day at the moment. Ebooks are marginally easier and I still don’t understand why they would have the first book of this series as an ebook but not the other four?
Anyway, it’s a good book and I don’t want to put it away for the time being, so it might show up next week in this post as well.
The ten riddles of Eartha Quicksmith by Loris Owen

I started this at the beginning of last week and I really like it so far. It’s a good book as far as I can tell and I think I will continue it as soon as possible. The problem I have with the ebook at the moment is that it’s somehow not possible to open with the Kindle Cloud Reader which is a little stupid because it means that I cannot read it on the side and need to lug my kindle with me all the time.
Finding the Fox by Ali Sparkes

I finally managed to finish the first book in the Shapeshifer trilogy. It was not bad but it was also not so good that I just had to read it as fast as possible. Oh, well. I don’t know if I will continue this series but I’m still glad that I read it and finished it and that I managed to cross a book of my neverending tbr.
I have abandoned City of the Plague God for a bit and put it on the backburner. I hope I will read it soon but maybe not before the weekend. I really don’t know what to read next at this time and just hope that I will finish my current reads.
Listen, I’m really sorry for being such a downer today. I’m really tired and a little grumpy. And tired. And did I mention grumpy?
But don’t take this as a reason not to talk to me. You should totally tell me about your current reads and your past reads and about what your favourite colour is, because that is obviously vital information. <3
I always read the words at the beginning 😍 and your struggle is… well, real life. There have been periods in my life when my job (counseling) plus family left me very little energy left for reading and even then, I would read books for work. I’m so happy to have made changes and now get to enjoy whatever I want when I want. ❤️. The books on your list look very cute. I love the covers and have no doubt I would enjoy the inside as well.
Sometimes life is crazy and it gets in the way and it absolutely effects our reading. It definitely happens if you are a mood reader. It happens to me all the time. No need to apologize for being grumpy! haha. I hope you do enjoy the rest of these reads when you get to them! Have a wonderful week!! <3
My WWW!
When I get in a blogging slump, the WWW posts are often the only thing I post too. It’s a good thing – it helps me feel like I’m still blogging even when I’ve posted no reviews etc for an age. It’s a good way to still feel connected to it.
Sorry you’re struggling to find time to read, don’t feel bad – that’s just life. All of us have days when we judt want to switch off, and all of us have spells when those days are every day for a while.
I’ll be interested to know what you think if Eartha when you do finish it. I wasn’t totally sold, though I did like lots of things about it.
