It’s the middle of the week again, phew! Finally a week that doesn’t feel like it’s just dragging its half decaying body over hot pavement to a waterhole that it might never reach.
Too dramatic for you? Okay.
Anyway, it’s WWW Wednesday and it’s time to show you what books I’ve read and what I will read and so on and so forth.
The three WWWs are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think youโll read next?
Girl Giant and the Monkey King by Van Hoang

I loved every second of it. That’s all I have to say. So far. Just wait for my review which will most likely be a gushing fest of tears and love declarations. Seriously, I just enjoyed it so much.
Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon

I mean, I enjoyed it as well. I loved the writing. It was just a bit too predictable for my tastes. Tomorrow is my stop at the blogtour, so stop by that one if you wanna know more.
The mostly invisible boy by A.J. Vanderhorst

Still reading this one. I really don’t know about this one. The overall idea is nice but I’m afraid the execution is just really blocky and sometimes it’s kinda hard to follow…
Catacombia by R. L. Ferguson

I’m curious about this book but also a bit worried that it tries to much to be like Suzanne Collins’ Overlander series. I loved that series. It’s just so good. I’m afraid that this will never compare to that one but will try and crash and burn.
The Crackledawn Dragon by Abi Elphinstone
According to my app, the book is supposed to be delivered today! I’m so hyped. I’m gonna start that as soon as it’s on my doorstep. ๐
What have you been reading over the last week? Any plans for future reads?
Instructions for Dancing was a bit predictable, I agree, but for some reason that didnโt stop the tears. Looking forward to your review tomorrow. Happy reading!
I thought it was very predictable but still enjoyable. I loved the writing and quite liked the characters too. ๐
I enjoyed it very much too! I loved the bit of magic and the dance instructor, Fifi! Everyone needs a Fifi in their lives.
Fifi is amazing! She was so much fun.
I’ve seen great reviews for Instructions for Dancing. I wouldn’t have normally picked up a book like that but so many friends have loved it that I have found myself tempted!
To be honest, I wasn’t sure why I picked it either. I usually prefer Middlegrade to YA but this one just kinda grabs you and urges you to read on, even if you don’t want to. ๐
That’s good to know! I will definitely grab it at some point!
Iโm so looking forward to The Crackledawn Dragon – I have pre-ordered a copy so hopefully itโll be here soon.
Apparently mine is gonna be delivered today. I’m so hyped. Exactly what I need to get out of my impending reading slump. <3 <3 <3
I hope it arrived. I think mine will be after 10th June as Iโve ordered a personalised copy that will be available after publication. I have a feeling it will definitely keep you from a reading slump! ๐
I already know I want to read Girl Giant and the Monkey King, but I’m looking forward to your review! The cover just looks so fun, too. ๐
I thought that the second book was already out but apparently it’s released in December this year. I want it sooner. ๐ญ Sure it has some weaknesses but it’s so imaginative and great and I love Asian mythology and I need moooooore. ๐ญ
That’s good to hear! Maybe you’d seen references to ARCs of book two?
I love the sound of The Crackle Dawn Dragon! I hope you will enjoy it. Happy reading! Here’s my WWW.
Thank you, Yvonne! I can’t wait to read it. Unfortunately, the package is late and I don’t know when it will be delivered. ๐ญ
Oh no I hope it will arrive soon!
Oh my, Girl Giant and the Monkey King and Crackledawn Dragon both sound like amazing books, definitely want to check those out. I hope you enjoy Crackledawn Dragon, can’t wait to see your review for it (if you plan on writing one).
Thank you so much! I’m still reading Crackledawn Dragon but I love it so far. And Girl Giant I absolutely loved. I’ll definitely write a review for both of them. ๐
