Hello, sweet peas!
Yes. Yes, I know it’s not Wednesday. Which honestly came as a surprise for me this morning. The whole week my time sense has been really jumbled so I’m not even surprised that I mixed up as well. (Tuesday felt so much like Thursday that I was honestly shocked as they told me that I had a full day ahead of me. And now I’m wondering how I missed Wednesday alltogether. What did I do?😅)
Anyway, I wanna make this post anyway because I’ve been a very good girl and already read four books this year. Which is a great number for me in that timeframe. 😁
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words by the way, where you answer the three following questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

What did I recently finish?

I recently finished The Familiars by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson. It’s a book I read to my sisters ten years ago and it’s still cute.

I also read “Tunnel of Bones” the second book around Cassidy Blake and her ghost best friend Jacob. It’s my first highlight of the year. And I still haven’t even written the review for the first book. Oops.
So far I’m really happy with my reads. I am getting ahead nicely and I might actually be able to meet my reading goal this year. 😃

What am I currently reading?

Since I liked it so much and still had the sequel at home, I decided to get right on with it. I also read this ages ago, but for some reason I cannot remember most of what is happening in this book, so it’s more like a new read than a reread. It’s really nice so far and I hope I can finish it today.
I wish they translated the third book as well, but so far I don’t think they have and probably never will.

I wasn’t actually going to read it, because I’m kinda shying away from the hype. But then my brother gave it to me for Christmas and I struck a deal with a friend – if I would read this book like she begged me to several times, she would read “A winter’s promise”.
So far I find it a rather slow read. I don’t really get ahead which is probably the reason why I started a second book. But I’m not willing to give up yet. Have you read it and is it getting better?
Two good books actually. Well, at least one good book and one that still waits for the verdict.

What will I be reading?
I have looked through my two wooden crates that I use as a “Books I want to read in the immediate future” shelf. I’m not completely sure yet but the next books I might read are:

I love Agatha Christie’s books. I got this book from my mom for Christmas and it’s exactly the edition I wanted. She had to research the book until she found it and could contact a bookstore that would send it to her. They even made it possible to get it to her before Christmas and kept her updated where the book was. (“We found it.”, “It’s going down to shipment.”, “I just wrapped it and will send it right away.”) I was so extremely happy. My mom’s the best.

The second book is only available in German but you might like the gorgeous cover. I’m quite curious about this book since it got glorious reviews even from people who don’t usually read YA (like me.)
Now that I look at it, this year might have a lot of YA fantasy and Agatha Christie in stock for me. I have a lot of unread YA and Hercule Poirot at home and I quite look forward to this reading year.
