Hello, sweet peas!
I’ve decided to put up a quick post for the WWW- Wednesdays that is hosted by Sam. I’ve never actually done it but at this point I really think I need to put a post out there before my blog threatens to fall into an eternal sleep like Sleeping Beauty. :/
Goal is to just answer three questions and then you’re good to go. Well, I’m good to go. I’m the one answering the questions. Erm. Okay.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think youβll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading “Stalking Jack the Ripper” by Kerri Maniscalco. I bought it a couple of weeks ago because everybody recommends it, everbody seems to love it and the premise made me curious. I also found a reading buddy to read it together with.
Unfortunately so far I’m rather underwhelmed. I’m halfway in and can already tell who the murderer is, I don’t really like the characters and I can’t really immerse myself into the story. The writing style is good though, so I will definitely finish it.

I’m also reading “Black Coffee”. I just started it so I can switch it up a bit with the other book but I can’t really tell you anthing about it yet.
What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve read “Hercule Poirot’s Christmas” which was also a buddy read. I absolutely adored it. I always try to guess who the murderer is and how they did it but no matter how much attention I pay to details Agatha Christie always throws me off. It’s one of the fun things about these books. I was – for a change – a little faster than my reading buddy and getting update messages from her, watching how the twists blew her mind was also very entertaining. π
What do you think youβll read next?

Well, I’ll have to finish “Black Coffee” but I think I might still read “Vicious” by V.E. Schwab before the year ends. It’s this month’s book for the Wonderland bookclub. π

Enjoy your book club! I love how my club introduces me to new titles. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
Thank you! π I know, I find so many books I’ve never heard of before. π
I felt the same about Stalking but I figured it was just me. I also DNFed it during my move so perhaps it will get better! Here is hoping it does, for your sake!
Have a great week! Here is my WWW: http://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/12/18/www-wednesday-december-18-2019/
I mean, by now Audrey Rose has been growing on me but still I feel the book is rather messy. The farther I get, the surer I am about my theory about the murderer. But I will continue it and see how it goes. Maybe I’m getting totally blown away by some twist at the end.
Can you believe I call myself a mystery thriller reader but haven’t read an Agata Christie book yet π± Have you read many of her books? If so which one would you recommend I start with?
But it’s so great that you want to start! I surely haven’t read all of her books but some. The great thing about them is, that they are basically standalones even though some of the characters are recurring. So you can start wherever you want. With the Miss Marple series I relly liked “Murder at the Vicarage” which is also the first book in the series and with Hercule Poirot….that’s hard, I like so many of them. π But I think my favourite is “Five little pigs” because it’s a little different from the others. “Murder on the Orient express” is the most famous one and “The Hollow” I thought also very good.
I wish you happy reading. I hope you’ll find the right one for you.
Thanks for the recommendations! I will definitely refer back to this comment when I decide on which one to pick up π
Youβre welcome. Let me know which one you picked. π
